Our 3% Pledge
 We promise to donate three percent of the funds we receive from your purchases, on a monthly basis, to the the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, the Weston A Price Foundation, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation and other non-profit foundations. These three non-profit foundations educate people about the work of Dr. Weston Price and support the efforts of America's small farmers to produce and market top quality, healthy foods.
Since making our pledge in 2011, we have donated over $60,000 to these foundations.
In September, 2012 we began supporting Locket’s Meadow Farm, Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. Locket’s Meadow, in Bethany, Connecticut, is a sanctuary for at-risk farm animals. For years their focus was rescuing horses from the PMU (Pregnant Mare Urine) industry, but as times have changed, they have diversified into all kinds of horse rescue as well as expanded their farm animal rescue. Most of their farm pets were saved from slaughter.
Rescued and rehabbed horses go to work as lesson ponies and therapeutic riding horses in Locket’s Meadows’ programs for physically and mentally challenged children and adults. Their other animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, burros and steers, also do therapeutic work as well as entertain visitors. Learn more about the farm at www.locketsmeadow.com.
The mission of The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, a nonprofit charity made up of farmers and consumers, is to defend the rights and broaden the freedoms of family farms and to protect consumer access to raw milk and nutrient dense foods. The Fund uses its resources to:
- Protect the constitutional right of the nation’s family farms to provide processed and unprocessed farm foods directly to consumers through any legal means.
- Protect the constitutional right of consumers to obtain unprocessed and processed farm foods directly from family farms.
- Protect the nation’s family farms from harassment by federal, state, and local government interference with food production and on-farm food processing.
The mission of The Weston A. Price Foundation, a nonprofit charity founded in 1999, is... "to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price, whose studies of isolated non-industrialized peoples established the parameters of human health and determined the optimum
characteristics of human diets. Dr. Price's research demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats.
The Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies. Specific goals include establishment of universal access to clean, certified raw milk and a ban on the use of soy formula for infants."
The mission of the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, a nonprofit charity founded in 1952, is... "to provide the public and the healing professions with historical and anthropological findings, and up-to-date, accurate scientific information on nutrition and health. To assure that healthcare professionals and the public would always have access to the critical nutritional discoveries of doctors Weston Price and Francis Pottenger, the Foundation publishes the work of these two men and serves as a guardian for precious archives that include their extensive files, notes and photographs."
The mission of Dr. Ron’s Ultra-Pure is to provide 100% pure nutrients, formulas and special foods to complement whole foods diets, while helping to raise awareness of the critical importance of quality animal source foods in the human diet.
